This funding is a university initiative to help and encourage UMT academic staff/researchers to produce quality journal articles. The results of the publication of journal articles also help in research achievements through the evaluation of Malaysia Research Assessment (MyRA) and QS University Ranking.
Therefore, UMT has allocated an amount of allocation to finance the publication fee to help researchers and further increase motivation and the number of articles published in it journals listed in Scopus and WoS.
